A Bespoke piece of furniture is a thing of beauty, no two are alike & each piece has its own story to tell. Whether its that family heirloom, or that hidden gem found in a second hand shop, a vintage piece can add personality & character to your home.
I Love what I can do, saving Furniture from Landfill is just one of the benefits to reupholstering as well as extremely practical & very eco-conscious. Nearly everything can be given a new lease of life. I restore upholstered items of all ages using my knowledge of Traditional and Modern techniques from antiques, family heirlooms and statement pieces. I will always discuss the options I feel are suitable for the piece. If the springs and the foundations are in tact and in good shape I will always work with that, if it suits the shape as I believe that traditional & modern Upholstery techniques can be used to create lasting pieces for generations to come. I can carry out a variety of minor repairs although I am not a qualified furniture restorer.
I believe that the future of the furniture industry is in the hands of independent Upholsterers as we bring value, bespoke design and longevity for loved pieces, upcycled & recycled Furniture for future generation to enjoy & ultimately saving from landfill.
I am happy to provide an onsite consultation where possible. I can evaluate the furniture needing my 'tlc', discuss design ideas & fabrics or a Telephone consultation, email photos & I can organise fabric samples to be sent directly to your home.
